Management Team
Susan Dunlap — has served as CEO since Aerulean’s inception in July 2004. She began working on the intellectual property now serving as the foundation for Aerulean in 2001. Ms. Dunlap recently served as Treasurer of the California Botanical Society and served as Treasurer of the San Francisco Succulent and Cactus Society from 2004 to 2007. Between 1982 and 2001 she pursued a career in fine art. She is a 2007 grant recipient from The Pollock-Krasner Foundation, an award presented to her based on the exceptional quality of her work and the extent of her artistic achievement. She has exhibited widely, including at the Anchorage and Riverside Museums, and the Allan Stone Gallery in New York, New York and has received numerous awards for her work. Between 1977 and 1982, she was senior partner at Dunlap Marconi Stockwell, a commercial interior design firm she formed. Ms. Dunlap received a BFA. from San Jose State University in 1970.
Dave Cockerill — joined the team in July 2004 as a founding Board Member and Director of Interaction Design for Aerulean. He joins the company after many years of bringing immersing 3D worlds to life as an Art Director in the video game industry. Most recently Dave worked on projects for Nokia, EA, and Sony. He will focus on delivering the complexities of plant data and plant keys as cohesive visually driven plant search experiences. He has made significant contributions to Aerulean’s understanding of how to present tools on the web to a broad base of users.
Dr. David Dreyfuss — joined the team in 2006 as Engineering, Entrepreneurial, and Business Consultant, and has served as Aerulean’s V.P. of Engineering since 2007. Dr. Dreyfuss brings a broad range of experience in product and process development in digital printers, automated inspection, and web-based information tools. His training and background as a scientist has been invaluable to Aerulean; he has made critical contributions in engineering, business management, data management, and scientific nomenclature. He has an extensive background as scientist, engineer, professor, entrepreneur and consultant. Dr. Dreyfuss was formerly V.P. of Engineering for The Salmon Group, LLC. He received an Sc.D. in 1980 from MIT.
