Come! Ms. Dunlap will give two talks at the CNPS Conservation Conference Feb. 1-3 in LA!

One regarding a database of 3,700 nectar plants (& how to collect images to benefit pollinators), and the other regarding

Pyrisitia lisa, Little Yellow
Aka Eurema lisa, Little Yellow

1 ¼ - 1 ¾” wing span. This is a delicate yellow-toned butterfly with a few subtle markings.

The range of the Little Yellow butterfly covers much of the southern United States.

Considering that it may nectar on a broad range of garden plants, chances are pretty high that it will visit parcels that contain these plants. We note, however, it is unlikely the Little Yellow will feed on every plant in the Compositae family. We will revise the plant list to reflect our concern.

It has been recently recorded nectaring on:
Asclepias species, including Asclepias rubra
Dracopis amplexicaulis, clasping coneflower
Gomphrena globosa, globe amaranth
and
Malvaviscus arboreus, turk’s cap
